Saw it on Saturday. It was okay, but MAN, that Lord of the Rings trailer looks cool. Lord of the Rings! Yeah! Peter Jackson rules.

I meant long for a supposed "kids" movie. Alot of kids today do not have that kind of attention span, especially when it comes to sitting in one place. Length is of no matter to me, as long as I'm into the story.

I was disappointed that they cut rik mayall out of the final version to make it shorter cos he wud'v been funny.

I'm not saying all the effects are bad or anything... the flying scenes are cool and stuff.

Just the bit with the dog and the troll seems are really bad.

Hey there.

Enough kids hung around long enough to read the book.

It was a long movie. But I enjoyed it. Ive never read the book and I didnt think I was missing out on anything.

It was just good fun.

One thing I dont understand is why are people slagging of the effects. I thought they worked great.

Harryhausen was brilliant but his effects didn't look very realistic, let's be honest. The magic was that it didn't detract from the story, likewise HP.

the question is, do you think you would have enjoyed it the same if you have never heard of harry potter before? Hype does influence your judgement. I have never read the book and I personally didn't like the movie. But I realized that it was a kids flick.
